Gregory Blotnick

Founder & Managing Partner

Gregory Blotnick is the Founder and Managing Partner of Valiant Research LLC, responsible for guiding the firm’s research agenda, equity strategy, and client engagement efforts.

Prior to founding Valiant, Blotnick was the portfolio manager of Brattle Street Capital, a New York-based long/short equity hedge fund. Previously, he worked as an analyst for hedge funds including Citadel LLC and Schonfeld Strategic Advisors, where he focused on the Consumer sector and covered hardlines, softlines, consumer durables, and consumer-adjacent technology. Since beginning his hedge fund career in 2009, he has accumulated over fifteen years of experience in equity research and portfolio management.

As a recognized voice in the investing world, Gregory has been a frequent writer and commentator since 2012. His market insights and analysis have been featured in publications including Forbes, Fortune, Kiplinger, MarketWatch, and the CFA Institute, among many other financial media outlets. His key area of focus is in applied behavioral finance, exploring how our psychological and emotional biases can negatively influence our investing and business decisions.

Blotnick holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a B.S. in Finance from Lehigh University. He currently lives in West Palm Beach, Florida.
